Samana excursions
Thanks to its natural resources and its still unspoiled spaces, Samaná is one of the most important places in the Dominican Republic, known among other things for whale watching (read The whales of Samaná : you can see them from January to March). This beautiful location is, among other things, a starting point for various and unforgettable excursions, especially on the adventurous side, thanks to the natural, unspoiled and sometimes wild landscape. In short, in Samaná you cannot go without discovering its many natural attractions. It is a place worth visiting, its smiling people and its colorful tropical houses make you feel that you are truly part of them.
Balene - Megattere
From mid-December to late March/early April each year, more than two thousand humpback whales gather in our Samaná Bay to reproduce. A unique and exciting spectacle to see these huge animals jumping and playing in our waters.
Samana
Las Galeras is the real jewel of the Samaná peninsula. It is a small town still far from mass tourism and where each beach offers a unique and constantly changing landscape. The place is characterized by wild nature, rich in tropical forests, small islands, coves, natural parks, caves, waterfalls and above all green expanses of palm trees that make up the beaches: Playita, Playa Central, Playa Rincón, Playa Frontón, Playa Cayo Levantado, Playa el Valle, Playa Caletton, Playa Colorado, Playa Esmeralda, Playa Escundida, Playa dell'Amor, Playa Madama.
Rincon Beach
Playa Rincón in Las Galeras on the Samaná Peninsula is ranked as one of the top ten beaches in the world (see also The 10 Most Beautiful Beaches in the Dominican Republic) for its pristine sand and lush forests. In addition, it is considered one of the 50 most evocative natural sites in South America and the Caribbean.
The beach is about 3 kilometers long and reveals the typical beauty of the Caribbean, far from mass tourism. At the western end there is also a river, Caño Frio, ideal for a quick freshwater swim at the end of the day, a meeting place for all Dominicans. Playa Rincón is characterized by different beautiful bays with fine white sand, coconut trees and water with shades of blue and green. The beach is a dream place to enjoy a beautiful day.
